Best time to visit

TigerAll zones of Corbett National Park remains open to tourists from 15th November to 15th June. Major zones of Corbett National Park remains closed between June 16 and November 14. The main reason for closure of the Park is that during the monsoons, as most of the roads get washed away. Repair work starts after the rains end and it is only by November that roads are back in motorable condition.

The best time to visit Corbett National Park is only during 15 Nov to 15 June all the tourism zones of Corbett Nataional Park  are open for visitors and one can visit the entire national park area.

 

Visiting Throughout the Year

Jhirna is the tourism zone of the Corbett National Park and is at 19kms away from Ramnagar at South East direction enroute to Ramnagar Kotdwar road. Jhirna is the entrance gate for Corbett Park from where one can go from 25 to 35kms. This area is opened throughout the year for visitors. Corbett Park is surrounded with beautiful villages like Dhela, Thairi, Sawaldey.

 

Season Speciality

Winter (September - March): Days are clear and pleasant, Nights get cold. In the winter months from December till February the Ramganga reservoir is full of migratory birds. It is the great time for bird-watching and Tiger sighting.

Summer (April to June): Hot days with pleasant nights. It is the best season to view wildlife, especially the tiger, that come out of the deep forests for water.

Monsoon (July - August): Humid days and nights.  It is the great time for walks and trekking. Because of less crowd and rush probability of sighting animals is increased. Good for observing flora.
